Roger Federer will come to Brisbane ahead of the 2014 Brisbane International.

Federer, who dropped to sixth in the world rankings due to his unsatisfactory 2013 season, has decided to come down under before the tournament officially starts on Dec. 29, as reported by CourierMail.com.

The Swiss professional tennis player will be joined by his lovely wife Mirka and twin daughters Myla Rose and Charlene Riva. Federer, along with his family and team, are expected to arrive in the land down under a few days after Christmas.

"I need to find my way," said Federer. "And that's why I am arriving early," he added. Federer said that he will be able to spend some fun time with his family just in time of the New Year celebration. The 17-time Grand Slam champion has also revealed that he is currently in the final stretch of his training and practice. "I'm thinking of Brisbane more and more," he said.

This would be the first time that Federer will compete in Brisbane and he is hopeful that he will do well. He is expected to play next at the Australian Open where he is also optimistic of getting another Grand Slam.

The qualifying tournament for Men's Singles begins on Saturday. Federer leads an all-star line-up which includes the top 20 players in the world including Ken Ishikori, Gilles Simon, and Kevin Anderson, and a few of the rising tennis athletes such as Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, Julien Benneteau, Marin Cilic, and more. The Women's qualifying event start a day before the Men's event where Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Caroline Wozniacki, Jelena Jankovic, Maria Sharapova, and more.

It has been a total outlandish of the 2013 season for Federer. In the 2013 season, he has lost early in a number of tournaments to players that weren't even on the top 100 of the rankings.

Federer told the Sunday Mail who was able to meet up with him during one of his trainings in Dubai and he said that "losing" isn't something that he is focused on. He loves winning more that he hates losing.

"I feel I found the right combination for me to be successful on the tour," said Federer. "This stretch is very important for me," he said. The World No. 6 seemed quite ready to take on Australia. He said he doesn't to have any more setbacks.

"I feel very confident about my chances, not only in Brisbane and Melbourne, but also beyond that," he concluded.

Those are strong words from one of the greatest players in history of tennis. Can Roger Federer roar back in 2014? It is more than like to happen. He is confident and excited so and there is no doubt he will rule and hit the highest point of the tennis world again soon.
