Roger Federer is poised to add a couple more titles even at this stage of his career, but the Swiss Maestro revealed he is contented with all the titles he has achieved so far and he does not have a specific amount of titles he would like to win.

"I've already been asked if I want to get to Jimmy Connors and 109 titles, and the answer is no,” Federer said, Tennis reported. “I don't even have the goal to get to 100 titles.”

The 34-year-old Swiss has his 88th title after a hometown victory in Basel at the Swiss Indoors, where he defeated career rival Rafael Nadal. He had the chance to put up another great performance at the Paris Masters earlier this month, but fell to American John Isner in the third round.

Federer will head into the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals later this month and is hoping to recuperate ahead of his campaign against the top tennis players in the world, including world No.1 Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Nadal.

Federer will compete in London for the 14 th time in his career, but his preparation for this year season finale was a bit unusual. The 17-time Grand Slam winner will have a two-day trip to Finland to help retire old friend Jarkko Nieminen for one of the most extravagant retirement parties in the sport’s history.

However, according to Federer, his visit to Finland and meeting Nieminen will give him the right inspiration he needs for the World Tour Finals.

“To add that twist of fun and magic and freshness to everything besides the serious professional tour—I’ve played for 17 years—for me it seems like a great combination,” Federer said, reports the Wall Street Journal. “This is going to give me energy for the next few days and maybe the right inspiration I need for the World Tour Finals.”

Federer is the oldest player to qualify for the year-end finale. Last year, he had a chance to capture his seventh ATP World Tour Finals title, but he withdrew from the final round against Djokovic due to back injury. With the much-needed rest, Federer could come out with another great performance in the last tournament of the year.
