Roger Federer is Taking a Break From Playing Tennis, He is Out on a Vacation in Dubai With Family
After the rough season, World No 5 Swiss professional tennis player Roger Federer is having a great time with his family while on a vacation in Dubai.
The 32-year-old athlete was seen at the Madinat Jumeirag on Wednesday. Madinat Jumeirag is one of the high-end resort hotels in Dubai. He was spotted with his family, and it sure looks like they are all having a wonderful time.
Federer had a tough time in 2013. He lost to Andy Murray in the Australian Open semifinals. He also lost to Berdych in the Dubai Open semifinals. He also lost to Julien Benneteau in Rotterdam. His greatest arch-rival, Rafael Nadal, has beaten him in the quarterfinals at Indian Wells. The 2013 season is the first time in 12 years that Federer became unsuccessful to reach a final in the first quarter of the year. Truly, he deserves some time off to refresh and recharge his batteries to get ready for the next season.
However, despite not being able to do well in 2013, Federer still remains as one of the highest-paid athletes all over the world. He is even at the second position on Forbes Highest Paid Athletes in the World, and as of 2013, he is still the highest-earning tennis player with the most endorsement deals. It is reported that Federer gets approximately £50 million prize money annually.
He was with his wife, Mirka, and two children, Myla and Charlene. A source said that the family dined at a Chinese restaurant called Zheng He.
"They were very happy and they enjoyed eating food," the source said. "They were given the best table in the restaurant," the source added.
It is believed that Roger Federer owns a piece of real estate in Dubai, which is the very main reason why he visits the country very often.
