Roger Federer Turns 32, Celebrates Birthday by Training in Cincinnati
The Swiss tennis player turned 32 on Friday, Aug 9! And how does the maestro celebrate it? By hitting the training fields in Ohio for the upcoming Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati.
Federer, who suffered a not so fortunate fate in the tennis tourneys beginning 2013, is looking to make a comeback and be in tip-top shape to defend his title in Cincy.
He was photographed training with Denis Kudla, a Ukranian-native tennis player representing USA. Kudla posted the photo on his Twitter account:

Roger Federer made his international debut as a junior tennis player after reaching the quarterfinals at the 1995 Orange Bowl in Key Biscayne, U.S. He solidified this by winning a big international junior tourney in Italy and decides to end schooling to focus more on his tennis training.
In 1998, he moved up to number 1 rank and won the junior division at Wimbledon. He started his professional career with 301 ranking by the Association of Tennis Professionals. According to the Swiss national's website, in that same year, he received a total of 8 wild cards and made his debut at the Grand Slam tournaments in Marseille - where he defeated Spanish Carlos Moya, then ranked number 5 - and Wimbledon. He then reached his first semi-finals on the World Tour and ended the season number 64 in rankings.
At the age of 20, Federer won his first doubles bout, the 2001 Hopman Cup with Martina Hingis and won his first singles title at the 2001 Milan Indoor tourney where he defeated Julien Boutter - ending the year ranking number 13 by ATP.
After a series of victories, most notably after winning his second Grand Slam title in the Australian Open, he reached his peak in 2004 by finishing number 1 - a title he held until 2008. He is currently ranked at number 5 by the ATP.
