Roger Federer Wretched With Unsatisfactory 2013 Season, But Ready for a Huge Comeback
It was no secret to everyone that Roger Federer had an unsatisfactory 2013 season. In 2013, Federer failed to reach the finals of either one of the major tournaments of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
"I played matches that I should have never played," said the Swiss professional tennis player. Federer also made it clear that he definitely has no plans of retiring soon. "I am happy to be doing what I am doing," he said. "I'm successful so I will be playing for some time," he added. "That hasn't changed due o a tough six months," he concluded.
So what is keeping him busy, these days? He has been doing a lot of training, that's for sure. Thus, we expect him that his comeback in the 2014 tennis season will be huge.
Federer, who is an avid tweeter, has regularly been keeping his more than 1 million followers up-to-date with what is going on during his off-season. He occasionally shares pictures of him while working out and training in the tennis court.
Federer, now ranks World No. 6, held the top position for 302 weeks altogether. Are we going to see the old Federer back? It won't be long before we find out. It is only a month away before we see Federer back in action. He will be playing in the 2014 Brisbane International, where six of the world's top 10 women and 4 of the top 20 men are anticipated to play.
A lot of Federer fans would be delighted to know that he is indeed really getting some good practice. We hope he will be awesome in the 2014 Brisbane International. Whether he win or lose, his followers would always love to see him on the tennis court and play tennis.
All the best of luck on his 2014 season.
