'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' spoilers: Darth Vader scene with Director Krennic on the Death Star
Details of a Darth Vader scene in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” have surfaced online. The scene involves the Sith Lord talking to Director Orson Krennic about the Death Star and its use against the Rebellion and the planets that are not in line.
[Spoiler alert]
According to a report by Star Wars News Net, Darth Vader (Voice by James Earl Jones) has a problem with Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) revealing the Death Star too soon to the galaxy. In this scene the two characters meet and the Sith Lord says that they should wait for the right time to unleash the weapon.
However, Krennic is eager to unveil the weapon and use it. He has hit a “brick wall” while climbing the ranks in the Empire, Director Gareth Edwards explained in a previous interview, and it is only through the merits of his performance that he will advance to the next level.
The success or failure of Krennic in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will not only have an impact on the Rebellion, but also the powerful people in the Empire. Producer John Knoll had previously said that there is a lot of “palace intrigue” going on, with officials “sabotaging each other.”
The main confrontation in the Empire will be between Krennic on the one side against Grand Moff Tarkin and the others. The report notes that this could be where Mendelsohn’s character is making a fatal mistake.
The report notes that the Emperor may have sent Darth Vader to give his advice on the plans for Death Star. Director Krennic may go against the advice of the Sith Lord and this could lead to his “downfall.”
Will Director Krennic die in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”? It should be noted that Tarkin (Peter Cushing) was in charge of the Death Star in “A New Hope” and Darth Vader worked under him.
