'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' spoilers: Possibly another Darth Vader disappointment
One of the biggest factors that has the fans excited about “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is the fact that they will get to see Darth Vader again. However, a leaked report about the movie that reveals the details about the scenes of the character shows that the fans may be in for another disappointment.
[Spoiler alert]
A report on Pastebin reveals all the major highlights of the upcoming Gareth Edwards film. There is no confirmation about the leak being accurate, so readers are advised to treat this as a rumour at this time. If the report turns out to be true, then the fans are in for a major disappointment when it comes to Darth Vader (Voice by James Earl Jones).
According to the report, Darth Vader will have two scenes with a total screen time of 6 minutes. His first scene is with the main villain Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn), in which they talk about the Death Star attack on the planet Jeddha.
The trailers of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” show Krennic eager to test the Death Star. Darth Vader on the other hand may advice caution. The test goes ahead anyway, and the Rebels get to hear about it.
After the plans for the Death Star are stolen, Krennic complains to Darth Vader and, according to the report, makes it seem like it is the Sith Lord’s fault. That is when the Emperor’s new apprentice chokes the Imperial officer to death using the Force.
While the climax scene of Darth Vader may give the fans some satisfaction, the audience may be left wanting. The Sith Lord will not be seen in any of the action sequences in the film, and will not even ignite his lightsaber. In a video posted on YouTube, Mike Zeroh finds this to be disappointing.
After a cameo appearance in the prequel trilogy, the fans are hoping for something more in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.” However, if there are just two scenes of the Sith Lord in the film it may not be enough to satiate the fans.
