Ronda Rousey: 5 Things to Know About UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion [PHOTOS]
After her win over the weekend against Liz Carmouche, Ronda Rousey has cemented herself as a superstar in the male dominated sports.
UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey proved what women like her are able to do after defending her title last Saturday. She also pointed out how hard she worked just to be able to get to where she is right now.
"Women always have to work harder to be able to prove themselves," Rousey said.
As a woman working in a male-dominated sport, Ronda is a breath of fresh air. During the fight with Carmouche, Ronda was caught in an early submission but managed to get up and defend her title. In a matter of 4:49 minutes during the first round, Ronda won by submission because of her signature arm bar.
After her fantastic exhibition last Saturday, Ronda has risen to become one of the most admirable female athletes in the world of sports. But just before she hits superstardom, let's get to know her a bit more.
