UFC women's bantamweight champion would not divulge exactly how much she makes in every fight but would be willing to say she is satisfied with the compensation she is getting from the outfit. She also reveals during a recent interview that most women fighters she has encountered in the UFC circle had no qualms with compensation.

During the recent interview at Bruce Buffer's "It's Time" podcast, Rousey was game to discuss her life inside and outside of the cage, acting and her upcoming fight with Cat Zingano. The initial portion of the interview shifted to the payouts from fights and the 27-year-old was actually mum on the amount of money she made over her win against Alexis Davis but said she is content with her earnings.

"The money that I make, I'm very, very happy, and I'm very, very satisfied," Rousey said in the said interview. "It's also very, very private. I don't want people to know how much money I'm making."

The renowned fighter and movie star also divulged she has not come across any woman fighter who is disgruntled due to salary issues. She added that "from what I know they are extremely taken care of" by the UFC. The said statement is sure to raise some eyebrows as there is a noticeable gap in the reporting of earnings for each match. During her last bout with Davis, Rousey reportedly made around $120,000 ($60,000 for showing up, $60,000 for winning), a fair price given her stature, but it is also telling that her nearest contender Zingano, just took home $18,000 for her UFC 178 win last month.

The huge gap between Rousey and Zingano's compensations can be attributed to the marketability of the UFC star. Her accolades as both a brutal fighter with submission wins lasting less than 20 seconds and her rise to movie star status due to her pretty looks puts Rousey heads and shoulders above the rest of the women's bantamweight division. Yet, the current champion shares that every woman must be able to find what makes her unique outside the Octagon and pair that with an exemplary performance during the fights and eventually, the money will trickle in. She pointed out the style of Rory McDonald who carries himself in a certain demeanour and has captured the imaginations of his ever-growing fans.

During the same chat, Rowdy also shared her thoughts on the upcoming fight with Zingano in January 2015. She conveyed she has deep admiration for the contender and will show her ultimate respect for the returning fighter by outing her best effort during the fight.
