Ronda Rousey still can't get over loss to Holly Holm, hides from cameras
Ronda Rousey literally won’t face the cameras upon returning home on Tuesday after her shock defeat to Holly Holm in the recent Ultimate Fighting Championship fight in Melbourne, Australia.
TMZ Sports tried to catch up with Rousey for a few questions regarding the loss to Holm but the former UFC champion covered her face all throughout the ambush interview and did not answer any questions.
Rousey lost her UFC bantamweight title to Holm last Sunday after she was knocked out in the second round of the fight held at the Etihad Stadium in Australia. The stunning defeat gave Rousey the first loss in her UFC career and introduced Holm as one of elite fighters in mixed martial arts.
According to reports, Rousey was sent to the hospital after the loss and she will sidelined for up to six months due to the injuries sustained in the shocking defeat.
In the TMZ video, Rousey was with her boyfriend Travis Browne, who is one of the contenders in the UFC heavyweight division.
A rematch between Rousey and Holm is already being talked about, particularly by UFC president Dana White, who stated in interviews that he expects Rousey to bounce back from the loss.
“She’s the mentally strongest [expletive] athlete I’ve ever met in my life. When she gets over this loss, she’s going to be a savage. She was a maniac and a hard-worker when she was the best in the world. What’s she going to be like now that she lost?” White told mmajunkie.com after the shock loss by Rousey.
“The thing that makes this fight great again is Holly Holm. Now everybody knows how talented Holly Holm is and that Holly Holm is legit and Holly Holm is a workhorse, too. Both these two are going to take the next few months, go back in, start working on [expletive] and they’re going to clash again. And this second fight will be [expletive] awesome.”
