Prince George and mother Kate Middleton, who recently returned home from their official trip to New York, went for an amusement park ride, joining the festive cheer. The Duchess of Cambridge took her son to London's Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park last Friday, according to media reports. The Duchess was dressed casually in a baseball cap for the local Christmas fair at the park and went unnoticed by many.

The almost seventeen month old baby George looked dapper in white clothing, which reflected his festive mood. The royal baby reportedly enjoyed the traditional amusement ride of saucer and cup, with his mother, according to People's report.

"George was smiling and laughing as they went 'round and 'round together. He was really enjoying the ride with his mom. You could see it in his little face - he looked so happy," a source present at the park told People. There were other options as well at the park, including skating, Santa's workshop, food stall and a Christmas market, but Kate and George did not opt for those. The annual fest is very close to the royal residence, Kensington Palace.

"They only had one go on the ride, and then off they went. Kate was so polite and normal looking. I don't think anyone even noticed that they were there," an onlooker told People. Prince George is expected to spend his Christmas holidays at his country side home in Norfolk's Anmer Hall, with his aunt Pippa Middleton and her family.

The Middletons are also invited to Queen's Christmas lunch at Kensington Palace. Following the lunch at the palace, Kate, Prince William and George will then spend the rest of the Christmas holidays at their Norfolk house. The Queen presented the house to the royal couple sometime back. Duchess Kate has reportedly renovated it as per her taste. Kate and Prince William's ten-bedroom luxury property has undergone a U.S. $23 million renovation.

Kate and Prince William have also invited Queen Elizabeth for their housewarming party at their new home. Prince William has shifted to this location to reduce the commute time. The British Prince works as an air ambulance pilot at the East Anglian Air Ambulance. Read more here.
