Royal Pregnancy Update: Prince William Spends 6 Hours Beside Kate Middleton in Hospital [PHOTOS]
In a report, it was said that the Duke visited his pregnant wife, Catherine in King Edward VII hospital as she was being treated for an acute morning sickness.
It has finally happened; the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a royal heir-much to the joy and excitement of followers worldwide. Since she is on the early stage of bearing a child, Catherine is experiencing vomiting and nausea due to Hyperemesis gravidarum, a type of morning sickness usually present in pregnant women expecting twins.
"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in central London with hyperemesis gravidarum." said a representative of St. James palace.
Although it is not confirmed (yet) that the Duchess has twins inside her womb, the Duke is taking all necessary measures to keep their pregnancy healthy. Prince William was spotted visiting King Edward VII as Kate is supposed to be admitted for the next few days.
"As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter." added the representative.
Hyperemesis gravidarum is a "potentially serious" ailment that entails vomiting and a bodily reaction against intake of food and liquids. This sickness, most commonly present in pregnant women carrying twins, could last up to the 21st week of pregnancy.
Could the Duchess of Cambridge be having a risky pregnancy? Prince William, along with the rest of the world, are praying that Catherine gets better soon so she can continue to blossom and bloom carrying her first born.
