Prince Harry and Prince William may soon lose all their hair and not because they'll have hard time running the country. It's because their genes make the susceptible to baldness, unless they do something about it as soon as possible.

Hair transplant expert Dr Asim Shahmalak said Prince William and his brother Prince Harry will extremely have diminishing hair when they reach their 50s, Daily Star UK reports.

Speaking from Crown Clinic in Manchester, the doctor said that in the next 18 years, Prince William will lose almost all his top hair. Younger brother Prince Harry who will turn 30 this September will have the same fate. In fact, he now has noticeably thinning hair.

Dr Shahmalak drew several graphics showing how the brothers will look like in the years to come.

This pattern of baldness runs in their family including Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Prince Edward. From the princes' mother's side, late Earl Spencer who was Princess Diana's father had very thin hair as well.

Based on statistics, 50 percent of men will start to have thin hair at age 50. Men with this problem usually resort to hair transplant to avoid total baldness. For instance, before his 40th birthday, Singer-songwriter Robbie Williams had a hair transplant when his hair started to go thinner.

Meanwhile, it was soccer player Wayne Rooney's two hair transplants, which urged other men under-30s to run and book at Crown Clinic to have their hair saved through hair transplant. The clinic's sale increased by 25 percent over the last two years.

"There is a strong baldness gene in the royal family which has very obviously been passed down to Prince William and is already affecting Prince Harry who is starting to show the first signs of thinning hair around his crown," said Dr Shahmalak said.

"The only long-term cure for baldness is a hair transplant. I fear that it is too late for Prince William, who has too large an area of baldness to cover. But if his hair loss accelerates, Prince Harry would really benefit from a hair transplant. He could look 10 years younger with the right procedure."

Of course, while Prince Harry still has some hair, he cannot resist having his picture taken. Daily Star UK reports that the Prince naughtily photobombed a pic at the Commonwealth Games.
