Ruby Rose joins 'Pitch Perfect 3'

Aussie actress, model and DJ Ruby Rose is set to join the third installment of the “Pitch Perfect 3.” The upcoming movie will hit cinemas at the end of next year.

The "Orange Is the New Black" actress will join several returning stars, including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Anna Camp. The details about the plot of the upcoming film are yet to be revealed. However, it is already presumed that the character of Rose will be part of the singing group known as the Barden Bellas.

In October, Rose posted a picture of her with Elizabeth Banks. After the picture was posted on social media sites, many have speculated if Rose would be part of the upcoming movie.

Trish Sie will be directing the three-quel. On the other hand, Banks will remain as producer. She also posted an Instagram photo with Rose and wrote: “This gorgeous talented spirit @rubyrose brought some needed excitement to life recently.”

For its screenplay, it is written by Kay Cannon with additional drafts from Mike White and Dana Fox. The original film was directed by Jason Moore.

Rose appears in a number of upcoming sequels such as “XXX: The Return of Xander Cage,”, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” and “John Wick: Chapter 2.” The makers of “Pich Perfect 3” have not yet given any specifics about what her character will be like but she will be the first new addition to the cast, if her deal is finalised.

Rebel Wilson, another Australian actress, will return for the third film, as she confirmed on "Ellen."
