Ruby Rose and JVC launch Bustival: Sydney’s new pop-up user-generated music experience leads Australia’s festival summer
Australia's favourite VJ, model, designer, DJ and personality Ruby Rose has teamed up with leading electronics company JVC to introduce a new concept in music festivals: JVC's Bustival .
The event will be Sydney's newest pop-up music festival, created by JVC , curated by Ruby and driven by public voting. Bustival will be a one-day, portable event on a bus travelling to various destinations in Sydney and featuring Ruby Rose as a DJ. Music fans, festival-goers and Ruby followers will be invited to co-create the experience from the music mix Ruby plays to the destinations the festival visits.
Ruby Rose will be working closely with JVC throughout the coming year, culminating in the day of music around Sydney in the summer, which will kick-start Australia's festival season. As well as playing Bustival, Ruby will also be supporting a number of product launches that JVC has planned throughout the year across its audio, visual and car entertainment product ranges.
"JVC products fit really closely with how I live my life so it was a natural partnership for me," says Ruby Rose. "Music is my passion and I know people often find it difficult to get to the major festivals, so this time we're bringing the music to the people.
Rose continues: "Life is all about spontaneity, spending time with friends, capturing a moment in your life, and sharing experiences - and Bustival encapsulates that."
Commenting on why the brand had chosen to work with Ruby Rose, JVC's Jim Parissis said: "Ruby's a fantastic talent so it's incredibly exciting to be working with her on an event that we hope will become a highlight of Sydney's festival summer.
"With Ruby providing the content and JVC products helping deliver the experience, it's a perfect partnership."
Ruby Rose is currently hosting MTV STYLE Sunday nights at 6:30 PM on MTV and is a proud ambassador of Head Space Australia ( www.headspace.org.au ). Ruby is currently DJing Australia wide and on May 26 th is hosting Live at the Chapel featuring The Vines.
