Ruby Rose’s heart goes out to Brussels; ‘xXx’ star wants younger generation confident in whatever they wear
Ruby Rose recently opened up on breaking gender boundaries in the fashion industry. The “Orange is the New Black” star, who was once doubtful about her fashion style, believes that gender fluidity is a big thing today in the industry.
Rose tied up with fashion brand Ralph Lauren for a new campaign that would rightfully express her androgynous style.
“We’re now breaking down those barriers; that includes brands like Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply allowing a female spokesperson to dress the way (I do) androgynously,” Rose told Refinery magazine in an interview.
Rose wants the younger generation to be confident and comfortable in whatever they wear. That’s one of Rose’s ideals.
“If a boy wants to wear dresses and doesn’t understand why he wants to do that, it’s great to have role models like Jaden Smith doing that, being comfortable doing that, and looking good doing it,” Rose added.
The Aussie actress and DJ recently celebrated her birthday on March 20 and she was happy to be celebrating her birthday twice in two time zones. She posted her childhood photos and birthday throwback and also a photo of gifts she received. She said she loves the Australian wishes.
Of late, Rose has suddenly developed a love for black and white photographs that she has been constantly posting on Instagram. She posted a photo of her sixth birthday cake, a DJ console. Whoever made that cake has done an amazing job.
Rose has also shown her support after the Brussels tragedy by posting a photo of a heart with the word “Brussels” written on it.
“Beyond sad to hear the news this morning. When will we stop these senseless acts of violence. My heart goes out to Brussels,” she captioned the photo.
Rose, who is starring in the Vin Diesel starrer “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage,” has kept her fans updated on what’s happening behind the scenes, sharing photographs with her co-stars Deepika Padukone, Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev and Tony Jaa.
