Canada will eye to end their 2015 Rugby World Cup stint with a victory against Romania at Leicester City Stadium on Tuesday. The Canucks have decided to learn from their defeats against France, Ireland, and Italy, and exit the quadrennial tournament in winning fashion.

However, Canada coach Kieran Crowley believes his side is still catching up against the leading rugby nations, accepting that the Canucks may continue its role as gutsy losers until a high-level domestic league is developed in their home soil.

"Canadian rugby has made big strides but what we lack is top-level games for our decision-makers," Crowley said, reports World Rugby . "We have made a lot of progress with our play, the skill level, that kind of thing, but just haven't got over the line for the wins we are after.

Canada failed to generate a win in their previous Rugby World Cup fixture against France, with the latter prevailing for a 41-18 victory. The Canucks put up a fight heading into the second half of the game only down by 12 points. But the Les Bleus fired away after the interval to bury Canada and their chance to advance into the quarterfinal round.

Jamie Cudmore will captain Canada against Romania, replacing Tyler Ardron, who failed to shake off the knock sustained against France. Cudmore will appear in his final Test as he ties the Canadian World Cup appearance record with his 14 th cap.

Meanwhile, Romania will try to farm a good Rugby World Cup result in their clash, having beaten Canada twice in the past two years. Canada have won the first two matches with Romania at the 1991 and 1995 Rugby World Cup, but have lost the last three, which were all played in Bucharest. Florin Vlaciu kicked every Romanian point in both the 21-20 win in 2013, and the 18-9 victory in 2014.

However, coach Lynn Howells believes his side must first control their nerves before contending against Canada. Lynn revealed that The Oaks are “very nervous,” but at the same time want to finish the game with a winning mark.

Howells made seven changes in all from his lineup that suffered a crushing 44-10 defeat against Ireland at the Olympic Stadium. Front row Mihaita Lazar and lock Valentin Poparlan are set for their 50th cap at the King Power Stadium, while prop Paulica Ion looks to become the seventh Romanian to reach double figures of World Cup appearances.
