Rugby World Cup 2015: Kate Middleton looks chic in blue coat by Reiss
Kate Middleton looked chic in a smart blue coat as she watched the 2015 Rugby World Cup at Twickenham Stadium in London on Friday night. She brought her sartorial style to the stadium as she watched England triumph over Fiji along with husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry.
The 33-year-old opted for a colourful look, wearing a blue coat from premium high street label Reiss, Mirror UK reported. The coat is from Reiss’ Autumn/Winter 2014 collection and is no longer available to buy. The coat is perfect for the cold months and features a streamlined high-collar, long sleeves, exposed one-button and concealed three-button closure.
The Emile coat also features seam detail, two slit side pockets, lined with wool or polyamide. Middleton matched her look with the Raz/Muse small black clutch bag by Stuart Weitzman and wore her Stuart Weitzman “power” pumps in black suede.
The Duchess of Cambridge carried a Beulah London scarf. The royal blue shade of Middleton’s coat contrasted with her brunette locks, which she recently had styled into bangs and got trimmed. Her long locks were styled into her favourite glossy blowout. Middleton accessorised with a touch of bling in a pair of Empress earrings in white gold and diamond by Mappin & Webb and a gold watch finished her look.
The mother-of-two was animated as she watched the tournament’s opening game. At one point, she leaned back against her husband, who had a pair of black-framed glasses on. She later broke into a smile.
As the game finished, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen clapping joyfully -- while Harry got to his feet and punched the air. Although England had to work hard against the underdogs, they managed to clinch their 35-11 victory.
Earlier in the night, the royals were treated to a grand opening ceremony, featuring fireworks, a giant ball and stunning special effects. During the ceremony, Harry who is a honorary president of England’s rugby team, took to the stage in front of fans dressed in colourful outfits and masks, and British Prime Minister David Cameron and gave a moving speech.
Earlier in the day, Kate returned to official duty after her maternity leave as she visited the Anna Freud Centre in London. The duchess opted for a smart Ralph Lauren houndstooth shirt dress teamed with a Mulberry clutch and her brand new fringe done by her hairdresser Richard Ward.
