Tell me what Ryan Gosling cannot do. This time, the bankable Hollywood actor re-enact famous poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" with his girlfriend Eva Mendes and some kids.

"The Place Beyond the Pines" costars, who began dating in September and packed on the "Public Display of Affection" in Paris two months later, co-star in a new Funny or Die video entitled "Drunk History Christmas."

In the "Funny or Die" production, comedian Allan McLeod painstakingly tries to recite the poem after having half a bottle of whiskey, but thankfully, Gosling, Jim Carrey and Eva Mendes did their part in narrating this complicated story of Christmas magic.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes play husband and wife with two children that will surely break the hearts of many girls, while Jim Carrey plays the role of the man in the red suit, Santa Claus.

As Allan McLeod recited the poem, Gosling re-enact the line. Gosling already proved that he can tickle a funny bone in his movie offering last summer, Crazy, Stupid, Love.

In the skit, Gosling donned a nightwear that resembles that of character in a Charles Dickens' novel, while Eva Mendes wear a traditional nightgown and added a scarf.

The whole skit is full of guffaws and laughs due to the drunk confusion, like a sleigh full of antler-wearing puppies. The story is told with many laughs, even more expletives and some nice period touches.

Eva and Ryan have been dating since September, when they were spotted enjoying a carefree date at Disneyland. Last month, Ryan travelled to Paris to be with Eva while she filmed Holly Motors in the city.

It's a testament to the strength of their relationship that the Ides of March star would travel across the world to be with his new girlfriend. "The Notebook" star was spotted carrying a single red rose for his lady as they walked the streets of the romantic city. The pair dined at the Jules Verne restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower before taking a stroll.
