Gosling has said in an interview that his former girlfriend Rachel McAdams is one of his greatest loves.

This is certainly reason enough for the two to get back together. The two actors are both Canadians and met on the set of "The Notebook". McAdams auditioned for the role and the chemistry between her and Gosling was evident that the two were immediately put together for the role in the movie.

The two dated for years before they split but remained close friends with each other. Gosling is now currently dating Eva Mendes but according to rumors, their relationship is currently on the rocks. Would it be that Gosling still loves McAdams and that he can't really settle down with anyone else but her?

There have been rumors before that stated the reason why Mendes was feeling a bit insecure about the close friendship that McAdams and Gosling have with each other. After the two had split, Gosling hit it with Eva, and Rachel with Michael Sheen.

Since McAdams had split with her boyfriend of two years, Sheen, she and Gosling had been in constant contact with each other and this seemed to infuriate Mendes who was getting a bit giddy about her boyfriend talking a lot with his former girlfriend. If anything, Mendes should be a bit worried as the two still do have feelings for each other, since the only reason they split in the first place was because of their hectic schedules.

On a lighter note, if they do decide to call it quits, there would be a possibility that Gosling and McAdams would get back together. It would surely make a lot of people happy if they do get back together just like in their movie "The Notebook". Gosling is currently working on a movie where he will also be directing it.
