The critically acclaimed Buried is set to be released on Blue Ray and DVD February next year. The film stars Ryan Reynolds (X Men Origins: Wolverine, The Proposal) in his breakout dramatic role. It is considered one of the most thrilling movie experiences of the year.

In the movie, Reynolds plays a security contractor, who wakes up buried six feet underground in a wooden coffin in the Iraq desert. He has no idea why he is there and only has a mobile phone and lighter to help him escape. With only 90 minutes of oxygen left, minimal phone reception and a dying battery - his character Paul is in a race against time in order to survive.

In an interview for GQ magazine, Ryan said the experience of spending two weeks on a coffin for Buried was "a state of emotional distress."

"I'll never, ever in my life complain on a set again after being on that set. Sixteen, seventeen days of doing that," said the actor, who stars in Green Lantern set for release next year.

The movie is directed by Spanish film maker Rodrigo Cortes, who will next create the 2011 film Red Lights. Buried is Cortes' fifth feature film, since his debut with the 1998 film Yul. The movie won in the European Fantastic Film Festival of Strasbourg in September 2010. Buried competed at the Deauville American Film Festival. It was also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival, out of competition, in September 2010.
