Ryan Reynolds devastated over close friend’s betrayal: Reynolds’ friend wanted to sell baby James’ photos online [Watch Video]
Life of celebrities and their off-screen friendships may appear to be picture perfect but in reality they too have their share of ups and downs and Ryan Reynolds’ latest revelation proves this. The “Deadpool” star revealed that he was devastated when he found out that an old friend tried to sell the photos of his daughter James with wife Blake Lively.
It appears that Ryan is facing a tough time in keeping his baby daughter away from the limelight. In an interview with GQ Magazine, Ryan revealed that it was a devastating experience to discover his friend’s betrayal.
Notably, one of the oldest friends of Reynolds tried to sell the picture of his 9-month-old daughter, James, for money. Recalling the incident, Ryan said, “A guy that I’d known for my whole life, one of my closest friends growing up, he had been shopping pictures of my baby around.”
“I kind of got in front of it, which is good. But it was a slightly dark period. A bad couple of weeks,” Reynolds added in his GQ interview.
Ryan considers the incident as a slightly dark period because it spoiled the enthusiasm surrounding the birth of his first child with wife Blake Lively.
Giving insights about the initial years of his life, Ryan also spoke about being the youngest among four brothers. He says that he looks up to his elder brothers as examples of great fathers.
Reynolds also chatted about the “Green Lantern” film which was released in 2011. Despite its poor performance at the box office, he said that he won’t change a thing if he had to do it all over again.
Talking about his upcoming projects, Reynolds mentioned his next flick “Mississippi Grind,” which is slated for limited release in the U.S. on Friday. He plays the role of a gambler named Curtis. His co-stars include Ben Mendelsohn (Gerry), Anthony Howard (Larry), Yvonne Landry (Louise) and Jayson Warner Smith (Clifford).
