Green Lantern star Ryan Reynolds officially filed a divorce from actress Scarlett Johansson, citing irreconcilable difference. Reports say that Reynolds felt neglected by the actress, with sources saying "it never seemed like she made him a priority."

The actress filed her reply to Reynold's petition on the same day. Both of their petition and reply are dated December 14th. If any thing, their simultaneous filing is indicative that the divorce will be "more-than-amicable" in the words of entertainment Web site TMZ which posted the divorce papers.

Both Scarlett and Ryan did not ask for spousal support, although the papers did say that property rights will be determined as, according to sources, there was no pre-nuptial agreement between the two.

TMZ says that Ryan made more money tha Scarlett during their two-years marriage since 2008. During their marriage, Scarlett starred in three films: The Spirit, He's Just Not Into You, and Iron Man 2, which is the third-highest grossing film of 2010 in the United States. Her estranged husband Reynolds appeared in five films: Adventureland, X-Men: Origins, The Proposal, Paper Man and Buried.

Reynolds and Johansson have officially confirmed that they have decided to end their two-year-old marriage by the middle of December. Their representatives issued a joint statement saying that they arrived at the decision to split after "a long and careful consideration on both our parts."

"We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated," read the statement.

According to reports, the couple had been having problems since October this year as their marriage suffers fromt the constraints from their heavy schedules. The two had hardly been seeing each other which greatly affected their marriage.
