It was a teenage phenomenon back in the days and now, the "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" movie is officially on the works. But who among Hollywood's young ladies should play Sabrina?

It was an Archie comic after it was subsequently turned into a popular TV show back in the 90's. Recent news surfaced that the movie makeover for the TV series has been approved and is now on the works.

According to "Deadline," Sony pictures is within negotiations for a live-action "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" movie. And since the recent, well-known Sabrina, Melissa Joan Hart is now a mom and way past for the "teenage" role, Hollywood executives are looking out for the new witch for the said movie.

Some people are already designated like Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari who are set to write the script. The film will be produced by Don Murphy, Susan Montford, Archie Comics' Jon Goldwater and screenwriter Jeff Stockwell.

Although details about the film are still kept under the hood, Deadline reports that Sabrina's cat Salem will have an edgier take on the film adaptation. Sabrina's beloved cat will reportedly be turned into a prince that will play as her true love.
