Sam Worthington Crowned As 2012’s Fun Fearless Male By Cosmo Mag [PHOTOS]

Aussie actor Sam Worthington grabbed the Fun Fearless Male of the Year award given by the Cosmopolitan Magazine editors. The annual accolade was held this time in New York City.

According to the Cosmo bosses, Sam Worthington fit the throne that once was filled by hunks Brad Pitt and Russell Crowe. But such actors are getting older that no other middle age hunk and fantasy hero can be crowned the recognition but the Aussie "Avatar" hunk.

The career of Sam Worthington kicked in when he played the interesting role of a soldier in the hit movie of James Cameron, "Avatar." Since then, his career gained a lot of attention and he started showing off more skin especially in succeeding projects like "Clash of the Titans."

In "The Debt," he portrayed a secret agent who hunts Nazis and he also acted in a drama movie with Keira Knightley. All these achievements and more make him all deserving for being awarded the Fun Fearless Male of the Year.

Other Aussies spotted during the event who also took home awards were Rose Byrne and Liam Hemsworth. Other well noted celebrities include comedians like Paul Rudd and Jonah Hill; country singer Blake Shelton was also present along with other actresses in Hollywood namely Freida Pinto and Zoe Saldana.

It can be remembered last year that the Fun Fearless recognition was given to the ex husband of Katy Perry, Russell Brand. Other recipients of the same award include John Mayer, Patrick Dempsey, Nick Lachey and Josh Duhamel.
