Samsung Galaxy A5 sports an ideal screen size and has a cheap price tag
The new range of Samsung’s Galaxy A-smartphones is designed for a younger audience who prefer affordable phones with great features to higher end flagships. Launched first in China, the Galaxy A5 received a warm welcome by Galaxy fans who love medium-sized displays with innovative specs bundled in a device.
For the enthusiastic consumers, the Galaxy A5’s display is neither too big as the A7’s 5.5-inch display size nor too small as the A3’s 4.7-inch display size. Holding a large screen might be uncomfortable for smaller grips while many do not like smartphones with too small displays. By covering an ideal screen size for its new Galaxy A5, Samsung is hoping to resonate with its targeted market consumers.
The South Korean tech company has plans to cover a variety of phone model sizes in its new 2016 range. Compared to the Galaxy A7, the A5 is a cheaper model priced at US$70 (approx. AU$101) and boasts of similar specs to the A7. While you can expect a lot of attributes in the cheaper Galaxy A3 smartphone, the A5 comes packed with features mostly found on Samsung’s premium smartphones.
As for the spec details, the A5 sports a 5.2-inch screen size with 1,920 x 1,080pixel resolutions. It has a 13MP primary camera sensor and a 5MP secondary camera sensor. Powered by an octa-core 1.6GHz processor and a 2GB of RAM, you can expect the phone to perform well. Consumers love phones with huge memories and the new Galaxy A5 has a 16GB internal memory capacity, expandable to 128GB with the use of a microSD card. In addition this, the phone has an Android 5.1.1 operating system running at its core, reports CNET.
Many users commented on the GSM Arena user opinions and review box where they wrote about their experience of using the Galaxy A5. While a few customers complained about the phone’s battery issues, many felt that the phone is ideal for its exclusive features available at a cheap price.
