Samsung is famous for launching devices in a number of colour variants. The South Korean company continues its tradition with its announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet having new paint jobs that include Rose Gold Black, Rose Gold White and Merlot Red colour variants.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is already available in Classic White, Jet Black and Blush Pink colour variants globally. The manufacturer officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 3 phablet at the IFA 2013 in Berlin. The device was launched initially in two colour variants such as the Classic White and the Jet Black. The third pink colour option of the Galaxy Note 3 was seen at an online retailer earlier this week but no word on its availability was actually out.

Samsung announced that the Galaxy Note 3 Rose Gold White variant will be available in China starting Dec. while the other colour variants would follow per market's preference. It hasn't revealed the rollout plans for the new colour options in other countries, though.

The Galaxy Note 3 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, powered by 1.9 GHz octa-core processor and 3 GB of RAM with TouchWiz UI. The phablet boasts of a 13 MP rear camera with a 2 MP front camera, backed by a 3,200 mAh battery. The Galaxy Note 3 is available in 32 GB and has an additional 64 GB expandable storage through a microSD card.

Rumour also has it that Samsung is working on a lower-end "lite" variant of the Galaxy Note. It could be called the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite and unveiled at MWC in 2014. The Note 3 Lite appeared in shipping manifests for testing and variants included a 5.49 and 5.7-inch display of LCD persuasion, unlike the more expensive Super AMOLED displays.

The Galaxy Note 3 concept is a lower-cost alternative to consumers interested to switch over to Samsung flagship devices that cost below $300. Speculations also surfaced saying the next Galaxy Note will come with a 20 MP camera sensor.

Samsung has developed the 20 MP sensor to be released on the second half of 2014. It seems too early for the Galaxy S5 to come to the market with the new 20 MP sensor but Galaxy Note 4 should be just right on time.
