The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be released in a few days and Acer has released the new Liquid S2 to take on the Samsung device. Here is an analysis to compare the two.

In terms of screen size both the devices are about the same size with Acer Liquid S2 coming with a slightly larger 6-inch screen and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumoured to come with a 5.68-inch screen.

The Acer Liquid S2 comes with a Snapdragon 800 chipset, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to also come with the Snapdragon 800 but will come in two variants - a Exynos 5 and a Octa-core variant.

The Acer Liquid S2 is said to come with a 2 GB RAM, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is said to come in two variants, one with a 3 GB RAM.

The Acer Liquid S2 comes with 16 GB storage with a Micro SD slot, allowing additional storage up to 128 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumoured to have dropped the 16 GB variant and has a Micro SD slot, allowing additional storage of at least 64 GB.

The Acer Liquid S2 comes with a 13 MP camera which is capable of shooting 4k Ultra High Definition videos, whereas the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also rumoured to feature a 13 MP camera.

The other features of the Acer Liquid S2 include a 3300 mAh battery and Dolby Digital speakers. The phone runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

The sensors on the Acer Liquid include - light sensors, gyro sensors, accelerometer and proximity sensors. The phone also comes equipped with a digital compass.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be unveiled at the "Unpacked 2013 Episode 2" on Sept. 4. The release is set to place the Note 3 among the flagship phones of the company and, as such, the features on the device are expected to be the latest from Samsung.

On the other hand, the Acer liquid S2 is set to be released in October across Europe; however, the price of the device is as of yet unknown. The release date of the device in the U.S. market has also not been confirmed by the company.
