Features and Unique Packages

Features and software packages are the most commonly used and noticed by users rather than hardware specifications. Each of these devices has their own unique function on everyday activity.

Xperia C3 focuses on the camera aspect and that's the reason why it is called PROselfie.

- 5 MP front facing camera with soft LED flash and 25 mm wide-angle lens

- 8 MP Exmor RS camera with Steadyshot and 4K video recording

- Camera apps such as AR Effect, Portrait Retouch and more applied even to the front facing camera

- Movie Creator app for trimming and cropping videos

Galaxy Note 3 focuses on everyday tasks using the S Pen for office, business and more.

- Exclusive Galaxy Note apps: Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbook and S Finder

- Samsung Knox Security for enhanced security of data and apps

Performance and Speed

Both Galaxy Note 3 and Xperia C3 feature branded user interface which are TouchWiz from Samsung and Xperia Home from Sony. Unlike Motorola or Nexus devices, these UI can affect performance and consumes some memory due to bloatware services.

Technically, Galaxy Note 3 sports better performance compared with Xperia C3 due to its quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 or octa-core CPU on the Exynos variant. Xperia C3 offers a decent set of four-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processors.

For graphics, Galaxy Note 3 boasts the better Adreno 330 on the Snapdragon variant and Mali-T628 MP6 on the Exynos model while Xperia C3 uses Adreno 305 GPU.

But performance matters as well with the battery life and Sony installed a 3200 mAh battery pack on Xperia C3 to sustain the need of users on doing several 'selfies' within the day. STAMINA mode on the Android 4.4.2 KitKat version of Sony also helps extend battery life when the device is not in use.

Galaxy Note 3 features a 2500 mAh battery pack which can last within a day or more depending on usage and if the Power Saving tool is active. Super AMOLED can also be exploited to extend more juice by using darker wallpapers instead of coloured or live wallpapers.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 unlocked international version is currently sold in Amazon at $539.92 while Sony Xperia C3's official price is yet to be announced next month.
