Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was first released in September 2013 and presumably be the big screen flagship of Samsung for 2014. It will compete against the rumored Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC M8 but the Galaxy Note 3 like all other smartphones will be replaced with a new and better versions. Chances are, it will be the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The Galaxy Note line was no longer a niche anymore, a device available on carriers worldwide. Because of that, some consumers may still be locked in a contract and others who may have passed on the Galaxy Note 3 in anticipation of the Galaxy Note 4.

Naturally, there have been whispers about the possible features of the Galaxy Note 4. Let's take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumors.

The Samsung Galaxy Round's release of the flexible display technology is a sign that the company is finally getting ready to put this into mass produced, high-end handsets. The Galaxy S5 is currently reported to have a 5-inch display but nothing suggested that it has the Samsung Youm technology. This means that the Youm technology could make its debut on the Galaxy Note 4 instead. While the Galaxy S5 is not rumored to unveil the three-sided display, the Galaxy Note 4 could be the first to offer this display.

Samsung points to having 2560 x 1440 resolution with 560 pixels-per-inch displays in 2014 and it could also appear on the Galaxy Note 4. The South Korean company also confirmed its 64-bit processors in 2014 but the precise chip is still unconfirmed. The Galaxy Note's vast treasure of apps and multi-tasking features would thank performance upgrades a high-end processor would bring.

Samsung also focuses on smartphone cameras, reportedly working on a 20 MP camera censor after rumors of a new 16 MP sensor for the Galaxy S5. Reports also suggested that the Galaxy S5 could skip a fingerprint reader because it is still not ready. The Galaxy S5 is instead rumored to have the Iris-scanning technology to replace it. The fingerprint technology is supposed to be ready in late 2014 and this certainly opens up doors for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
