Samsung Galaxy S III to be Launched on March 30?
A surprise launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III may happen on March 30.
The Korea-based tech company has no official statement about the release of its latest device however, a leaked photo highly suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S III will be launched this Friday. Initially, the device was expected to make a debut on the recent Mobile World Congress that happened in Barcelona late last month but, before the event took off, Samsung confirmed that the device would not be released at that time.
Samsung did not release the product just yet as it would take some time before it hits the U.S. shelves that may hamper the sales of the product. This is sort of true since Samsung considers the United States as one of its biggest markets and announcing the launch of the device at a later date is not feasible for the tech company.
There are a lot of leaked images and information about the device - this seems to have picked up the momentum. The latest information is from Gizmodo who have obtained images of a London store called Phones 4u banner with the message "Coming 30.3.12." According to the website, apart from the shots were taken from the Phones 4u in London's Oxford Street, there is no confirmation what device will be unveiled on the aforementioned date.
Every information points to the Samsung Galaxy S III May 22nd release, which is when the company's Unpacked Event will take place. There have been leaked renders of the device as well displaying what the Galaxy S III will look like with the date on the device showing the above mentioned event.
The Galaxy S III is said to have a 12 megapixel camera with a LED flash. Other features of the device are slow motion, time-lapse, and the ability to record videos up to 60fps. The display will probably be a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Plus with an HD resolution. Also, it will most likely feature Samsung's own quad-core Exynos SoC, up to 32GB on onboard storage and whole gig of RAM. Connectivity is taken care of by 3G HSPA (up to 42Mbps), Wi-Fi, 'n', Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, HDMI, etc. As for the battery, it is believed that the device will come equipped with a 1750 mAh battery.
