Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100, GT-I9100G Now Upgradable to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Firmware [How to Install]
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean has been released to many Nexus devices recently and developers are currently working on new ROMs to support other smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S2 to receive the latest Android version. Owners of Galaxy S2 can now update their handset to Android 4.3 using CyanogenMod 10.2 firmware build.

Requirements:
- Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100 or GT-I9100G only
- Create a backup of all your personal settings, information and data files on your handset
- Make sure that the battery level is at least 50 percent to avoid power interruption
- Enable USB debugging mode on your phone. Go to "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging mode"
- Install the necessary USB drivers on your computer for your device
- Your Galaxy S2 must be unlocked and rooted
- Install a custom recovery such as ClockworkMod recovery or TWRP on your Galaxy S2
- Download Android 4.3 custom ROM for Galaxy S2 I9100 or for Galaxy S2 I9100G and the Google Apps package to your computer.
Flashing Instructions:
1. Connect your Samsung Galaxy S2 to your computer using a USB cable.
2. Copy and paste the Android 4.3 custom ROM and the Google Apps you have downloaded earlier to the SD card of your Galaxy S2. Make sure you have the appropriate firmware for your device model and never extract any of them.
3. Disconnect the device from the computer then turn it off.
4. Reboot into Recovery mode. Press and hold the volume up, home and power keys altogether till you see the Samsung logo.
5. Inside the Recovery mode, create a Nandroid backup of the current ROM. Select "backup and restore > backup." The ROM is stored inside the SD card which can be restored anytime.
6. Now perform a full wipe on your smartphone. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Then go to "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."
7. Install the firmware you have copied on the SD card. Select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card." Choose the Android 4.3 custom ROM and confirm installation. Apply the same with the Google Apps package.
8. After the installation, go back to the main menu of the recovery mode and select "reboot system now."
9. It will take up to 5 minutes for the device to reach the home screen. Be patient.
Congratulations! Your Samsung Galaxy S2 is now running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with CyanogenMod 10.2 custom ROM.
