As the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update continues to roll out, Samsung Galaxy S3 owners have fixated over it while also anticipating the future on what comes after the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update.

Samsung skipped the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean for two of its aging flagship devices, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3. It rolled out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead and once the Galaxy S3 LTE and Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update roll out is finished, rumor now points to Android 4.4 KitKat that could arrive on the device in the first half of 2014.

First, there are still many issues with the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean such as battery drain problems, lag, charging, Wi-Fi issues and more. These Android 4.3 bugs are not just seen in one device and likely to linger because Samsung is not quite fast to upgrade its devices with bug fix updates. Some updates have been stopped as a result of these problems but what owners want to see is an incremental bug fix to tackle remaining issues.

Galaxy S3 owners can expect to see an incremental update before Android 4.4 KitKat arrives in 2014. Samsung is expected to act quickly to fix the issues. Android 4.4 KitKat was first thought to arrive in 4 months at least. Although not as massive, an upgrade as the Premium Suite in Android 4.2, Samsung and its carriers are still expected to offer bug fix updates, especially that this roll out and software have really been problematic.

The Android 4.4 KitKat update will likely be the final major update for the Galaxy S3 as it soon reaches the 18-month mark, falling beyond Google's recommended age for software support and upgrades. Both Google and HTC adhere to this. Users can expect to get bug fix updates after Android 4.4 KitKat because carriers would want to keep improving the Galaxy S3 software because there are so many Galaxy S3 users that they need to keep happy.

Samsung also loves upgrading its Galaxy devices with new TouchWiz features. Galaxy S3 got some of the features in Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which includes the Multi-Window View.

If Android 4.4 KitKat rolls out to the Galaxy S3, the device might get some of the features found on the Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S5. Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean should be enough to always keep the device fresh.
