Samsung Galaxy S3 has been confirmed in Germany to skip on Android 4.2.2 and will go straight Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The rumour about such update has been screaming across the Internet and seems to be true for the GT-I9300 variant.

Deutsche Telekom Confirms Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Phone Arena caught the tip of a German mobile operator, Deutsche Telekom, confirming the Android 4.2.2 update skip in favour of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware on the Samsung Galaxy S3. For some time, rumours piling over the said skip and straight update to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S3 have been somehow formally revealed by the network carrier.

Deutsche Telekom confirmation came in an exchange of messages on their official forum and it involves the model variant GT-I9300 of Galaxy S3. Due to this revelation, there is a strong belief that more Samsung Galaxy S3 variants across the globe will also go straight to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Although the confirmation sounds exciting for Galaxy S3 owners, the German mobile operator didn't include any specific date when will Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update arrives to Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. So far, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean was made available for Google Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and recently a new build was sent out via OTA to owners of the Google Play Editions of Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One.

Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

It is not surprising anymore if the official update will be pushed as Android 4.3 Jelly Bean since Galaxy S3 was already seen running the latest Android version.

In July 2013, SamMobile posted on their Web site of Samsung Galaxy S3 capable of running Android 4.3. The leak came from someone in Samsung R&D India which spilled the details to Temefy including the screenshots. No one has confirmed yet if the leaked images were real but it signifies Samsung's current activity of skipping Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Another device from Samsung skipping the Android 4.2.2 update is the Galaxy Note 2. Talks and rumours are also pointing out that the phablet will get Android 4.3 Jelly Bean instead to save time and effort on sending out both updates. Both Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 have close technical specifications and it is no wonder that Android 4.3 is compatible to the two former Samsung top-notch gadgets.
