Recently, the source code of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean leaked out and being tested on Samsung Galaxy S4 variants. It was found first from the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition then later appeared on the Snapdragon-powered variant. The new firmware works perfectly and fully functional for everyday usage with some minor glitches here and there. Some of the changes found on the latest Jelly Bean are the new camera and gallery apps UI.

How to Manually Install Android 4.3 Firmware on your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

Relatively, it is easy to install the firmware manually on your device but there are few things you need to do before flashing it.

Requirements:

- Root Your Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9505

- Install a custom recovery such as ClockworkMod or TWRP

- Unlock or lock boot loader of the device

Warning: This firmware requires manual installation and doing so voids any warranty on your device. Android 4.3 firmware is not yet officially released but owners may try to experience the benefits of the latest OS. Read and follow the procedure carefully to avoid damaging your device. Be reminded that your personal information, data files and current ROM are likely to be erased during installation, create a backup for all of them. Do this at your own risk.

Flashing Instructions

1. Download the Android 4.3 Odexed firmware or Android 4.3 Deodexed firmware on your computer.

2. Copy the Android 4.3 firmware you have downloaded to the SD card of your Samsung Galaxy S4.

3. Press and hold "Power + Volume Up + Home keys to enter Recovery mode.

4. Inside the recovery mode, perform a full wipe on your device. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Remember, create a backup of the current ROM by selecting "backup and restore > backup" before wiping data on your device.

5. After the wipe, select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card." Then choose the Android 4.3 firmware you have copied earlier.

6. Once the installation is complete, go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now."

Well done! Your Samsung Galaxy S4 Snapdragon variant is now running the latest and soon to be public Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware.
