Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S4 flagship started to make noise in the technology world after its reported launch on February 2013. Consumers are now more attracted as the rumors shift to its phone features and specifications.

Samsung is currently working on a quad-core processor that could power the next-generation smart phone Galaxy S4. Details or phone specifications has not yet been confirmed but the reports on the Galaxy S4 processor fires up the circulating rumors on the web sites.

According to GSM Arena, Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature a Cortex-A15 CPU quad-core processor with a 4.99" 1080p Super AMOLED screen and a 13MP camera. There is also a report of a possible 8-core chipset which uses both high and low power cores based on the demands placed on the smart phone.

"The chipset in particular will pack four A15s clocked at 1.8GHz and four A7s clocked at 1.2GHz. The A7 will reportedly match a quad-core Coretex-A8 CPU, while four A15s should offer a big increase over the already powerful A15 duo that powers the Nexus 10," GSM stated.

In a recent update on its Kernel Git page, Samsung provided pieces of information that supports the upcoming Galaxy S4 processor. The reference board has been identified as SSDK5440 but other specifications such as the processor's clock speed or RAM support are still concealed.

Assembly of the Exynos 5400 quad-core processor based on the Cortex-A15 supports previous reports on the Samsung Galaxy S4 specifications. Early in November, Korean newspaper "Digital Daily" reported the expected technical specification to appear on the upcoming smart phone such as the Samsung processor currently in production.

The same published report also specified that Samsung is conducting test batches with the Exynos powerhouse in preparation for the launch of the device. "Samsung is ready to unveil the next Galaxy smart phone, the Galaxy S4, at early next year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) in the Spanish city of Barcelona," an unnamed Samsung official told the Korean news source.

Other phone specifications indicated in the Korean reports are the 5-inch OLDED display and 13 megapixel camera. Executives from Samsung's parts suppliers even reportedly revealed to the Korea Times that Galaxy S4 will definitely use LTE networks. Samsung Galaxy S4 is deemed to be Samsung's most powerful smart phone to date.
