Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 is famous for delivering vastly improved graphics, voice commands ability without hurting battery life, faster than its predecessors and use of LTE Advance technology. Both Samsung Galaxy S4 and Sony Xperia Z are rumoured to be working on running Snapdragon 800 to new variants.

Samsung S4 New Variant with Snapdragon 800

Samsung is planning to release a new variant of Galaxy S4 and this time, it will have the latest and greatest chip from Qualcomm - Snapdragon 800. According to a new report, a user manual for a new Samsung device known as SHV-E330S includes a CPU on its specifications called MSM8974 and it is the product ID of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor.

Installing Snapdragon 800 chip on the Galaxy S4 will greatly improve overall graphics, activated voice commands without consuming huge amount of battery and access LTE Advance network. Although, the manual didn't mention any Galaxy S4 but details matches the flagship smartphone based on specifications and dimensions.

Samsung seems to have sensed that the immediate need for new variants running Snapdragon 800 chip is undeniable especially if LG is already working on something featuring the latest Qualcomm.

Sony is also Working on Snapdragon 800?

Russian editor at Mobile-Review, Eldar Murtazin provided new leads for Sony Xperia Z and he claims that he tested a variant which runs Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. According to him, the chipset made Sony Xperia Z "really fast" and he said that the prototype uses HTC One's Super LCD 3 display screen. However, Murtazin believes that it won't be the commercial model.

Aside from Xperia Z, the upcoming rumoured Togari/Honami device, Xperia Z Ultra is also running Snapdragon 800 processor. It would be the very first phablet device from Sony and expected to match the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 this year. Xperia Z Ultra features heavy specifications, new input support technology, large HD screen, water-resistance and outstanding camera.
