With its official release out earlier than in previous years, rumours and speculations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S5 have already started circulating on the Internet. Enthusiasts have made their own renditions of the curved Galaxy S5 and leaked specs are talked about in great anticipation.

The year 2014 is almost here and the latest rumours and updates have speculated that Samsung is aiming for late February or early March to release its new flagship smartphone. Samsung decides to deliver faster than previous years to beat competition by a month or two and highlight its new YOUM curved smartphone display technology. The GS5 is not confirmed to have a curved screen and the latest details show it won't have one.

Samsung was criticized a lot for its use of cheap and lightweight plastic in smartphone designs, and the Galaxy S5 may change things this time. New images of a metal frame that the GS5 could house have surfaced, and it makes sense to use aluminium to compete with the HTC One and iPhone 5S.

If it is, indeed, the Galaxy S5's base, it will be a metallic internal shell but could just be the internal with majority of the outer shell and overall design remaining plastic with removable back and battery. Another important element is the curved display. The image tells us either the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 won't have a flexible or curved display, or it just isn't part of the GS5.

The Galaxy S4 already has a 13 MP sensor and the Galaxy S5 is rumoured to have a 16 MP sensor. While Samsung confirmed it will have the ISOCELL technology that helps improve quality of photos and videos in particularly low-light environments, the Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) has not been confirmed.

The GS5 could also come with a faux leather design like the new Galaxy F with a metal design. This is interesting considering how Samsung develops the Galaxy S series to be a premium brand.

If the report is accurate and it is really the Galaxy S5 skeleton, the GS5 could be 5.2 inches, a few millimetres wider and taller than the current Galaxy S4. Other rumours include a high performance processor that could be like the Exynos 6 with 64-bit quad-core support and other details that are yet to be confirmed.
