Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date: Mid-July With High-Class Specs, Android 4.4.2, IP 67 and Ultra Power Saving

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini is official and expected to be released in the market by mid-July. In addition, the source claims that Galaxy S5 Mini is better compared to its predecessor Galaxy S4 Mini carrying several traits by its bigger brother.

SamMobile confirms the expected release date of Samsung's upcoming mini version of Galaxy S5. It matches the same launching date of Galaxy S4 Mini last year, around the middle of July but Galaxy S5 Mini will feature high-class technology unlike its predecessor.

Based on the information retrieved by SamMobile, some features were ported from Galaxy S5 which seems to make the mini version higher than a mid-range smartphone.

According to an anonymous tipster, AnTuTu revealed that Galaxy S5 Mini sports quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 3470 SoC, 1.5 GB of RAM, quad-core Mali-400 MP4 graphics chipset at 450 MHz, 16 GB of expandable storage, 8 MP rear camera lens, 2.1 MP front camera lens which are both capable of full HD 1080p capture.

Moreover, Galaxy S5 Mini boasts 4.5 inches of screen display with 720p resolution and Super AMOLED screen technology protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Other software features include fingerprint scanner, heart rate sensor and other various wireless connectivity such as LTE, Bluetooth LE 4.0, IR, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS.

Additionally, the tipster also claimed that Galaxy S5 Mini has IP 67 certification which makes it dust-proof and water-resistant.
