The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hasn't even made it to the stores yet but rumours of the Galaxy S5 already started to emerge. With the Galaxy S4 selling well, it attracts the same excitement for the Galaxy S5 speculated as Samsung's key device for 2014. From Samsung Galaxy S5 release dates to camera, display and improvements in build, here is a list of rumours summed up to make it easy for you.

Samsung is believed to unveil the device in mid of Jan. 2014 and it will go on sale by Feb. This cycle doesn't follow Samsung's typical Galaxy release pattern, which is usually in March and April but despite its 40 million sales, reports suggest that the Galaxy S4 missed the company's sales projection and it's just reasonable for Samsung to shake up its timeline a little earlier this time.

Samsung has previously presented a roadmap of its screen resolution plans over the next couple of years and based on this, people can expect a big bump for the Galaxy S5. 4K displays are planned for 2015 but Samsung suggests a step up to a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution display for 2014.

The Korean company also admitted to be working on phones that can flex, bend and fold. Though wraparound displays may not be for the Galaxy S5 yet, it seems the device will have a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 560ppi pixel density, which would be very sharp and top in the market.

The Galaxy S5 is also rumoured to replace a polycarbonate case for an aluminum and magnesium alloy. The metal rear case should help Samsung compete with its rival companies, Apple and HTC who's flagship devices have premium quality bodies. The Galaxy S5 is also rumoured to be dustproof and waterproof and it could be possible but a more rugged body with an underwater camera may still be far off. An interesting rumour is that the Galaxy S5 might have two variants, much like Apple's iPhone 5S and the more affordable iPhone 5C.

Samsung is rumoured to be working on a 16 MP sensor with optical image stabilization designed specifically for slim Android phones so the Galaxy S5 might have a good chance of having it. Samsung described this as the world's highest performance camera module, reducing blur, correcting angular errors and increasing sharpness. This means video recordings eight times brighter than others. A 4K video capture found in the Galaxy Note 3 is also expected.

The Galaxy S5 is speculated to have a WQHD display and 64-bit COU like the iPhone 5S. It is also rumoured to have a 3GB of RAM and a 4000mAh battery.
