Samsung Taiwan Reveals Cute Galaxy Note 2 in Pink [Slideshow]
The Galaxy Note 2 now comes in pink and will initially release in Taiwan, as advertised by Samsung's official site in the island nation.
The new offering will join forces with the Note 2's wide variety of colour choices - presently comprised of gray, white, amber brown and ruby wine. It is unclear at the moment if Samsung intends to introduce the pink phablet to other markets.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 2 has already surpassed the five million sales mark, adding that with the trend the phablet has been setting it will exceed the record achievements set by its predecessor, the Galaxy Note.
While no major changes can been seen from the pink Note 2, it has become customary for Samsung to spice up the colour selection of its gadgets midway to their market circulation.
The main purpose, Samsung said, is to drive up further interest. The same tactic was applied to the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S3 Mini, which seemingly proved effective in realising higher sales figures.
So effective that Apple is reportedly revamping its normal colour production pattern to accommodate the entry of multi-coloured iPhones later this year.
It makes sense that Samsung is drumming up new interest for the Note 2 and pushing out new colour would likely prod Samsung fans to keep supporting the phablet despite reports that its replacement is already on the way.
Samsung unwrapped the Galaxy Note 2 via the 2012 Mobile World Congress and analysts believe that the South Korean company will keep up with the pattern by revealing the Galaxy Note 3 through the 2013 MWC in Barcelona, just a few weeks away from now.
The new phablet is rumoured to carry the following specs: a 1080p Omega AMOLED 6.3-inch screen, an Exynos 5 Octa Processor working with 4GB of RAM, up to 64GB of internal storage and 5000mAh battery plus the latest Android JellyBean.
Those are huge upgrades from the Note 2's overall prowess of a 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display, a quad-core Exynos 4412 processor with 2GB of RAM and a 3100mAh battery, which are same servings that will come with new pink-wrapped Galaxy Note 2.
