Samsung is still constantly in the headlines as it releases a range of products in 2014, one of which is reportedly geared towards knocking the socks of the Apple iPad Air. Samsung is set to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Galaxy Note 3 Lite and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 but it seems the South Korean company is not yet satisfied with this roster. Rumour has it, Samsung will launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet in 2014.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 was rumoured since September of 2013 after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear. It has been said that Samsung is set to compete with the successful Apple iPad Air.

Phone Arena reported that they have seen a filing with the FCC and this suggests about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. It claims that the device will sport 3G connectivity with support for 850/1900 MHz frequencies. Other reports claim that the device will pack a quad core SnapDragon 800 processor with a 2560 x 1600 display and 3 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is rumoured to boast an 8 MP camera on the rear and 2 MP on the front, initially running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but upgraded to Android 4.4 KitKat along with its release.

There was also a render circulating on the Internet, saying it was a leak of what was said to be the design of the Galaxy Note 12.2. If the tablet had this design, critics say it is definitely geared to compete with the Apple iPad Air. The Apple tablet has sent waves through the Apple fans and Samsung of course not only wants to release a product to compete with it, it also wants to get a share of the market.

People have also heard about a Bluetooth sig filing, which is said to indicate that Samsung is getting ready to release the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition was released with positive reviews, thanks to the nifty S Pen function and many other awesome features. If Samsung would include much of the same enhancements and technology in this new tablet, it should definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
