Egypt-Inspired Designer Womenswear Fashion

For her Spring/Summer 2011-12 collection, entitled Luxor, Sara Phillips was inspired by the Egyptian landscape - the soft colours of the sand and the sky are punctuated by bright neons that can be seen in Egyptian textiles and buildings. The collection has an overall feel of freshness, featuring lots of delicate cotton lace and bright colour pops of cerise and aquamarine, creating a youthful yet elegant vibe. The prints take their inspiration from the old English influencses on Egypt as well as the renowned Hercule Poirot book by Agatha Chrisite, 'Death on the Nile'.
