Sarah Geronimo, the Philippine teen popstar who hosted a national singing competition joined by Charice Pempengco some years ago, is touring Australia in August.

Geronimo, who is part of the judging panel for "The Voice of the Philippines," rose to fame after winning a national singing competition called "Star for a Night" in 2003. She was 15. She has since starred in a TV series, made blockbuster movies, won several awards, hosted a singing competition, and eventually, led her own weekend variety show. A decade later, the pop singer is showing no sign of slowing down. She is still called the "Pop Star Princess," and her fans call themselves the "Popsters."

Sarah Geronimo was often pitted against international recording artist Charice Pempengco. In 2005, Charice joined the singing competition "Little Big Star," which Sarah hosted. Charice finished at the third place, so sensational comparison unfolded when Oprah took the younger singer under wing. At the time, however, Sarah remained a big name in the Philippine music industry.

Sarah is now in the U.S. with local matinee idol Matteo Guidicelli and popular comedian Jon Santos. She will be back in the Philippines within the week to carry out her commitments. Then come August, the Philippine pop star princess will visit the Popsters Down Under.

Sarah's concert series in Australia takes place on the following dates: Sydney (August 10), Brisbane (August 11), Adelaide (August 16), and Melbourne (August 17). The singer will be turning 25 on July 25. It is not clear whether her concert might be renamed when it is brought Down Under. The show is currently called, "24/SG U.S. Concert Tour."
