Sarah Jessica Parker graces Harper’s Bazaar October issue cover, sports bangs
Sarah Jessica Parker is in the cover of Harper’s Bazaar October issue and for the first time, she is seen sporting bangs. However, the new fringe is courtesy of clip-ins. SJP, as the actress is popularly called, has been pictured without the bangs on her recent outing in the city.
The former “Sex and the City” star, who immortalised Carrie Bradshaw onscreen, wears a striped black-and-white Valentino midi dress as she poses for the cover shoot, People reported. She was shot by fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski. SJP accessorised with a pair of her very own silver sparkly SJP collection pumps and her long-layered bangs.
The 50-year-old actress talked about her most memorable red carpet moments, including her signature show-stopping headpieces. Speaking about the Philip Treacy fascinator she wore to the 2015 Met Gala, the actress was surprised to learn how quickly the accessory became an instant Internet sensation, along with Rihanna’s Guo Pei dress. “My son was like, ‘Mom, you’re a meme,” she said. Parker added that she did not know what a meme was and never imagined that it would be seen as flames.
SJP credits social media for helping her and her husband of 18 years, Matthew Broderick, feel more connected with their fans. The star, who has a line of fragrances, said that though her show has been off the air for a long time, she never feels alone because of social media.
The actress said that she loved New York City ever since she brought her family to the fast paced city. Parker loved everything about NYC, be it the subway, hailing a cab, the traffic, the people and all the possibilities.
Parker is the face of American heritage denim brand Jordache. She modelled the vintage-inspired women’s collection. The actress, who played one of the most iconic fashionistas of the 21st century, revealed that she does not believe in following trends anymore. She now buys and wears things that are for life. Parker does not give in to the temptation of being hypnotised by a trend, which she personally feels is probably the biggest change in her.
Meanwhile, Parker is busy designing a new line of footwear. She is also working on a new show, “Divorce,” which will begin this fall. With the new show, the actress is all set to return to HBO and also behind the camera. She will act as well as produce the new series.
