It's not just the Islamic State whose beheading knife is sharp and used often. Saudi Arabia's decapitation knife was put to use on Friday when it beheaded a Burmese woman convicted for sexual abuse and murder of her 7-year-old stepdaughter.

Tribune identified the woman as Laila Bint Abdul Muttalib Basim, who was a resident of Saudi Arabia when she was executed.

According to human rights activist, Basim was beheaded without painkillers "to make the pain more powerful for her."

To complete the death sentence, the executioner made three chops on her neck, while Basim was shouting, "I did not kill!" The beheading was posted on YouTube, but the video-sharing site removed it since it disallows clips with shocking and disgusting content.

Laila's beheading, the seventh for 2015, is part of the trend in the kingdom to impose the capital punishment on heinous crimes. In 2014, Saudi Arabia beheaded 87 criminals, up from 2013's 78.

Local residents as well as international human rights advocates criticised the kingdom's human rights records.

On the same day, Saudi blogger Raif Badawi received the second installment of 50 lashes out of the 1,000-flog sentence he got for criticizing Islam.

On Saturday midnight, another Islamic country is using capital punishment on six drug smugglers.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo pushed for the firing squad on former pilot Marco Moreira of Brazil, Namaoana Denis of Malawi, Ang Kiem Soei of The Netherlands, Daniel Enemuo of Nigeria, Tran Thi Bich Hang of Vietnam and Rani Andriani, an Indonesian. The six have been convicted of drug charges between 2000 and 2011.

Brazilian Marco Archer Cardoso Moreira talks behind the bars of a holding cell at Tangerang court, near Jakarta on June 8, 2004. An Indonesian court sentenced Moreira to death on Tuesday after convicting him of trying to smuggle 13.4 kilograms (29.5 pounds) of cocaine into the country in his hang-glider. Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff called Widodo to stay the execution of Moreira of Brazil, but he rejected her appeal, disclosed Tony Spontana, spokesman of the Attorney General's Office.

Five of them are in isolation cells at the Nuskambangan island prison, while the Vietnamese woman is in Boyolali. Both jails are in Central Java Province.
