The premiere episode of Scandal Season 3, "It's Handled," revealed that it was President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) who leaked the information about his relationship with Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) to save her from his wife Mellie (Bellamy Young).

Olivia's name was cleared in the episode but someone else was made the scapegoat. Jeanine Locke's (Samantha Sloyan) name was leaked as the mistress of the President to Olivia's name. Jeannie is Olivia's new client and she has to fix it before the new revelation further damages the already messy situation. The second episode will tackle the new situation and the viewers will get to see Pope & Associates fixing it.

In the promo clip, Olivia is addressing the press on behalf of Jeanne and can be heard saying, "Jeanine Locke, absolutely, positively did not have sex with the President." And, Olivia is going to go for the blood, according to the promo video.

The second episode of the new season will also provide more information on Olivia's past, which is likely to surface and haunt her. In the finale of Season 2, it was revealed that Rowan (Joe Morton) is the father of Olivia. The "estranged relationship" between the two and the reason behind that will be one of the highlights of the new episode. The fans of "Scandal" will get to see Olivia's past via flashbacks.

"Olivia's past comes back to haunt her on Scandal: Through flashbacks we learn more about Olivia's estranged relationship with her father. Meanwhile, both the White House and Pope & Associates are still in the middle of cleaning up the very big and very public mess they created," according to the official synopsis of Episode 2 "Scandal" Season 3.
