Lisa Kudrow makes her entry in "Scandal" Season 3 as Josephine Marcus, a Democratic Congresswoman. The sneak peek suggests that she is there to give difficult time to President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn). And, she is going to take jabs at him for his philandering ways.

In the sneak peek of "Scandal" Season 3 Episode 4, "Say Hello to My Little Friend": The President and Mellie (Bellamy Young) are watching Josephine take on the President. Kudrow's character can be heard saying in the sneak peek that she is more interested in President not showing certain things, alluding to the mistress fiasco.

"I think it is high time the man tame his cobra and keep the lid on the basket so the country can focus on education, keeping jobs here at home ... " The only thing the President probably heard is "tame the cobra" and he does not find that bad, while Cyrus comments that it is good, "catchy."

Kudrow's character looks like will increase the humour quotient of "Scandal" though her character is supposed to have a temper. The actress has a recurring role, with a significant arc this season. In the episode four, "Say Hello to My Little Friend," she and Mellie are likely to face each other, and as a result Mellie will have a scandal of her own.

Darby Stanchfield, who plays the role of Abby, said to E! Online, "She (Kudrow) gets to play a character that is not funny. I mean, there are funny elements...but her character has a temper!"
