‘Scandal’ Season 3 Ep. 4 Spoilers: Olivia and Jake Kiss in ‘Say Hello to My Little Friend’
"Scandal" Season 3 Ep. 4: "Say Hello to My Little Friend": The highlight of this episode is for sure the introduction of Lisa Kudrow's character. The actress has a recurring role as Senator Josephine Marcus, a democratic candidate for President from Montana.
Jake (Scott Foley) warns Olivia (Kerry Washington) that her father will hurt her and that he will slit her throat, and will drink her blood if it serves the Republicans. Olivia wants to be the good girl and go back to the routine of Sunday dinners and not step out of the line, anymore. Jakes leaves her house.
Times are not good at Pope & Associates. They finally tmanage to get a new client, which is one of the worst cases for them. The client is a Senator who has been caught sexting a woman who he allegedly killed, and is facing a second degree murder trial. It turns out the wife is the real culprit.
The President (Tony Goldwyn) finds out about the death of a Navy pilot, Peter Foster, and arranges for his proper burial, with full military honours. The pilot was killed on the orders of Rowan as he had links to Operation Remington, a secret rescue mission in Iran during the Gulf War. Jake was part of the mission group who were on the ground, while the pilot in the air was the President. The killing of Peter Foster turns out to be a cover-up so that no one knows he was not the pilot on that mission.
Mellie (Bellamy Young) made Josephine a legitimate presidential candidate from being flavour of the mouth because of her off the camera unfriendly remarks, which was caught by a microphone. The first lady apologies but the damage has been done as Josephine's name is trending on twitter and other forums. Cyrus is able to find some dirt on Josephine. She had abandoned her child as a teenager.
Olivia is exhausted and has a breakdown. "You're not alone in this. I'm not going anywhere," Jake tells Olivia. Jake and Olivia end-up getting cosy. They kiss, intimately which is stopped by a call from the President. The President, however, cuts the call when he realises that she has company.
Rowan and the President finally come face to face, which was long overdue.
