"Scandal" Season 3 has let a number of shocking revelations come out of the closed closet. And, Operation Remington has twisted Olivia's life like never before. At the end of the previous episode, Olivia hears her mother's voice. For 20 years, she thought that her mother was dead. It will take a while for her to handle the new truth.

In the preview clip of "Scandal" Season 3, Episode 9 "Yolo," Olivia can be seen saying "My mother she is alive, she is here, what do I do."

Rowan had made all the arrangement for Momma Pope's exit from the country. But, Momma Pope was able to first get out of the maximum security prison and then she escaped from the hospital. She seemed like an equal match to Rowan. Rowan is not going to twiddle his thumbs, waiting for Momma Pope to come back. He will do everything to get Momma Pope back under his watch. We wonder what fate awaits Olivia since she is aware about her mother's existence. She is not going to let her father take away her mother, without giving him a fight.

Also in the previous episode, Huck figures out that it is Quinn who killed the man who might have provided vital information regarding Operation Remington. It will be an episode that will test the loyalty of Quinn and Huck will not make it easy for her.

In the upcoming episode, Cyrus will try to deal with the revelation that his husband cheated on him with Vice President's husband, Douglas. He had pushed James towards Douglas. The intention was to reveal to the world that Douglas is gay, thus crushing Vice President's presidential aspirations. But, it has backfired and his marriage is now in the danger zone.

When asked whether it the beginning of the end of Cyrus and James' marriage, Jeff Perry said to The Hollywood Reporter, "Possibly. Cyrus desperately trying to fix stuff has suddenly made it possibly unfixable on both levels -- his marriage and Fitz's re-election."

According to the official synopsis of "Scandal" Season 3, Episode 9, "YOLO" - "As the team gets closer to the truth, loyalties are tested and relationships are pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, Cyrus has to deal with his own crisis and he realizes that he may have gone too far."

Chris Van Dusen has written the upcoming episode and Oliver Bokelberg has directed it. Since it is Thanksgiving this Thursday, the episode 9 of "Scandal" Season 3 will air on December 05, 2013. It will be the first episode of the two part mid-season finale.
